Prof. Dr. Prakash Singh

Prakash Singh is a Professor in the Finance and Accounting Area at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow since January 2006. He teaches courses in Financial Reporting and Analysis, Corporate Finance, Corporate Valuation and Restructuring, Commercial Bank Management, Risk Management of Financial Institutions, Start-up Valuation at the Post Graduate level in the MBA Program. Primarily, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from HBTI, Kanpur (1993), Dr. Prakash has also done his Master’s in Business Administration (1997) with specialization in Finance from Department of Management Studies, Lucknow University. Later, he did his PhD in Performance Evaluation of Indian Banking Sector Reforms from BITS, Pilani in 2004. Besides academics, he has also worked with Escorts Yamaha Motors Ltd and Kotak Mahindra Primus Ltd. Put together; he has close to 18 years of work experience in industry and teaching. His research interest include Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Earnings Management, Fintech and Financial Inclusion.
